Good stuff. Thank you for finding these. Personally, I'm kind of worn out trying to figure any of this madness out, but at least there's ways to peek into some of what was involved in aspects of the pain we carry inside.

I was reading (don't remember where) how rejection is interpreted by the brain as physical pain. Or something, lol. I'll see if I can find it.

For me articles like this add depth/nuance to the central issue of Complex PTSD; that is, the core wound of all interpersonal trauma including neglect involves injury to our sense of self (e.g., identity, safety, esteem, confidence, worth, belonging, etc).  It speaks to the notion that all interpersonal trauma should be thought of as big "T" trauma rather than the more obvious forms such as sexual and physical abuse.
