Would it be useful to have a board where we can promote and discuss educating ourselves, professionals, friends and family?

I was thinking many with CPTSD go misdiagnosed for years and a lot of us have lived feeling misunderstood for a long time. This isn't a widely acknowledged diagnosis and we are still waiting for it to be accepted (at this point) in the DSM.

Maybe having a "library" would help. This could include links to or info from elsewhere, sharing our experiences about speaking with professionals/friends and family, and asking advice on how to present symptoms if users haven't had a diagnosis or medical indication yet.

Interesting idea, especially the presenting symptoms to others (like therapists) part. Improving the education can be helpful.

Good idea. I am constantly finding that it is US who are the experts in this field (with a few exceptions such as the authors of recommended reading).  It therefore makes sense that we survivors educate the professionals, the therapists, the public, the government etc.
