Some Guideline Reminders

Three guideline reminders to keep the board running smoothly and safely:

Swearing - If you swear in a post please use the mash symbol version ^&%$# rather than a letter and symbols f***   The mind tends to fill in the word with the letter symbol mash whereas not as much with the latter.  It may seem like a small thing but so many of us were sworn at by those who abused us that it can be really triggering. So, plse try to keep swearing to a minimum overall, even symbol mashes.

Long Posts - If there is a lot you need to say about an issue you're struggling with plse consider breaking your posts into smaller ones or starting a journal and posting there.   The occasional long post is fine, it's when members do so repeatedly - it tends to discourage others from reading.

Use of the "Just having a Bad Day" forum - Life with CPTSD can be a challenge and there are lots of bad days.  That said, plse do not use this forum for all posts as it defeats the purpose (which is to ensure that when a member is having a really bad day they will receive a response).

If you haven't yet read through our Member Guidelines, please take a moment and do so - tks!
