Have gotten a formal CPTSD diagnosis with some BPD spectrum traits?
Have been in treatment for chronic depression / S.A.D for years. (Since '94)
It was suggested by by therapist to reach out and have a community of sorts.I have never been great with groups so bear with me.
Looking for advice in staying in my zone of tolerance. Building my skill set to widen my zone of tolerance. As well as dealing with a very harsh inner critic, dissociation, and gaining my artistic streak back.
A tall order, but hopefully achievable with time.
Hi and a warm welcome to OOTS Celery  You are in very good company here as most of us don't do well with groups - all part of the staying off to the side to protect ourselves and feeling different than others. If you give it time though, members do tend to settle in feel more comfortable.
Hi Celery,
Welcome to the forum.
I'm glad you found a therapist who seems to be tuned in to trauma. I hope you find this forum to be as compassionate and safe as I've found it to be. I joined two years ago, and I've gotten a lot of strength from the caring people here. We with C-PTSD often feel isolated. Alone in a crowd. Here, I know I have found people who feel the same way. I like to think as long as I feel alone with others who also feel alone, that I'm not really alone anymore.
Welcome.
Hello, and welcome. I look forward to getting to know you more.
Hello there. I have been trying to figure out how to create a post to introduce myself and I can't figure it out. I feel so stupid trying to connect here because I can't figure out how.
Hi Celery76, Kizzie, Papa Coco and Narckiddo.
HI celery, welcome ;) the support i have received here has been amazing, you have found a great group of people :grouphug:

Hello Celery and Leemarie :heythere: :heythere:
Hi Celery and LeeMarie,
Welcome to OOTS :heythere:
Welcome Celery and LeeMarie :heythere:
I'm new and in a very short time the kindness and support I've found here has been invaluable. And it's inspiring to see how others here are continually healing - especially when times are tough. I'm truly grateful to have found and joined this forum and trust you will both feel the benefits of taking this brave step. Best wishes
Hi LeeMarie,
Welcome to the forum. I was going to help you figure out how to create a new thread, but ... I just realized that I can't figure it out either. And I've been a member for two years.
I'm glad you found the forum.
LeeMarie - To post a thread introducing yourself, just hit "New Topic" on the top right of this section. It's the same in any section if you want to start a new thread.
Hi Kizzie,
Speaking for myself, I don't see "new Topic" as one of my choices. I have "Previous Topic" and "Next Topic." No "new topic."
So, you can't be in a thread. You have to be in a section. So go to "Please Introduce yourself" and you'll see "Start a New topic".
Thank you Kizzie! I see it now.
