Just thought I'd post these. First, an older one.
And now the one I finished tonight.
Lovely Cascade! I am always amazed by the patience it takes to complete them.
Thanks, Kizzie! When I'm in the mood, it becomes meditative. ;D

Those are beautiful. I have some colouring books with very intricate mandalas and find it meditative.
Thanks, Cascade!
These have brightened what for me has been a very moody, grey day. Contemplative, creative, and
meaningful.
Wow these are gorgeous! I am in awe by not just the patience but the consistency of the colouring! So pleasing to look at, thank you for sharing.
Regards,
Aphotic.
so lovely. thanks, cascade.
Thanks, everyone, for all your kindness and positive feedback. So glad to hear you enjoyed how they turned out.

These are a few more old ones I found in the stack and finally photographed to post.
Another
Last one for now.
After reviving Hope67's thread on Exploring Shame (https://www.cptsd.org/forum/index.php?topic=14428.msg143636#msg143636) yesterday, I needed some pink quartz crystals for love. I started one for that and intend to share it once it's finished... hopefully sooner rather than later!
Wow Cascade - gorgeous! I remain amazed by the patience it takes to complete them although I know it's soothing for you.
Thanks, Kizzie! I'll take amazement. :)
Just checking... on my end it looks like the latest attachments are awaiting approval. Same for you?
Thanks again,
-Cascade
Sorry about that. I can see things on my end because I'm the admin so I missed the approval request. Done now. :whistling:
 :bigwink: Thanks, Kizzie!

This is my favourite one so far. :)

;D Thanks, Aphotic. Yeah, the all-in-teal one is a keeper. It'll be one I eventually frame, for sure!

And without further ado, here are some rose quartz "crystals" around the outer two rings to bring loving energy a little closer. 💗
Funny, after I colored in the crystals, I was like, "Ummmm,
now what?!" I was so focused on the crystals that I didn't know what to do with the rest of it, lol. :)
With love to all,
-Cascade
I can't open... :(
We must be patient for Kizzie to approve the attached file. Thanks for checking back after she posts!
-Cascade
Ah ok...
Sorry about that. It used to be I would receive a notification when something needed approval. Now I just have to come across them when I'm reading through posts. You can always PM me to prompt me Cascade. I've got two trauma related projects going on at the moment which are taking up a lot of my attention.
No worries Kizzie I'm patient :)
Very lovely cascade!
Kizzie, no problem at all with the timing! I'm patient, too. Thanks for offering the PM prompt; I'll do that in the future. Thank you so much for taking on these trauma projects and keeping everything running. You're a tremendous help to so many unknown souls!
Chart, thanks for the compliment!

To balance out all the cooler blues and greens I've been working with lately, here's one with warmer browns, oranges, and yellows.
-Cascade
I can't wait! :)
Chart,
🚲
Maybe it will be ready when you get back from a bike ride. :bigwink: ;D
-Cascade
I did!! I did!! 20 km!
Wow! How'd you know?!?!
😂
I like this one even better! Very 😎
Thanks, Chart! It was definitely less intricate and went much faster.
And I'm not psychic, just supportive. You posted elsewhere about needing a bike ride. :)
Sleep well,
-Cascade
I started practicing some new shading techniques with these two mandalas.
It's hard to find ones with big enough spaces to do shading that can be seen, lol! A new coloring book will arrive tomorrow. The nice part about shading is that blending the colors will give me a nearly unlimited color palette! My commonly used colors are getting to be stubs of pencils, though, so I ordered new pencils, too. I almost ordered markers to give my hand and arm a rest from pressing so hard sometimes, but you can't really shade with markers.
Enjoy,
-Cascade
And here's the second one that I knocked out yesterday. The "Remove Background" function didn't work so well with the lollipops on the outside.
-Cascade
I love the shading Cascade, really makes it pop out more. :) I don't really do much traditional art but I do appreciate the minimised effort that comes with markers, how easy it is to fill in the blanks compared to pencils.
Regards,
Aphotic.
Thanks, Aphotic! The shading really creates more depth than I expected. Yeah, I might get some markers eventually just for something different. :)

:applause:
Wow Cascade,
I have enjoyed looking at all your Mandala pictures this morning - they are gorgeous. My favourite one is the very first one you posted - the colours are sooooo lovely. I also like the pink quartz one very much too. Or is it pink crystal - sorry - can't remember how you described it, but it's beautiful.
They are all lovely - I am impressed by your patience and creativity to do them.
Hope :)
