Title: transference in therapy
Post by: Dyess on September 05, 2015, 02:10:03 AM
Is it absolutely needed to make therapy successful? I keep almost everyone at arms length. Am I wasting my money because I just see therapy as a business transaction, no more no less? I answer what she asks.

Cool thanks for the info Yes, it is a little confusing, or maybe more so, overwhelming. I'm taking a therapy break from all of them for a while. Going on vacation soon and that is so stressful for me. Once I'm there it's okay but I about make myself sick up to that point. I did get a meditation from a T that may help, going to try it and see.
Back to transference, I'm sure it's a trust and fear issue with me. Just afraid of getting close and getting hurt or feeling abandoned again. I think we have a good relationship but that's my opinion. We talk openly about things, that should be good enough, right?
