Title: Hey everyone :) *possible trigger warning no details*
Post by: Lilibuth12 on June 22, 2016, 07:47:26 AM
Hey everyone :)

I am here because I believe for the first time in my life I am accepting I have CPTSD. Not to say I didn't know before, but we'll kinda hit me like a bullet train yesterday when I was refused online therapy because I have CPTSD and they won't do that online. Guess the second time of being turned down because I have 'multiple traumas' was a wake up call.

So yer hi. Brief overview - in part cause I need it to stop going round my head.
- abusive F and neglective M from ages 2-16
- House fire aged 9 ( noone inside but lost all my stuff and house )
- sexual, mental and physical abuse from N boss aged 18-19
- drink spiked and taken advantage of by coworker aged 21
- somehow still alive age 22 xD

So there's my list, and why apparently noone will treat me. Guess I just need to keep trying :D!

Lovely to meet you all :)

Hello and welcome Lilibuth12. Lovely to meet you too

Sorry to hear that you were refused therapy, that makes no sense at all. Did they not offer an alternative organisation for assistance? Good attitude to keep trying, there is someone out there that will help.

This is also the right place for a friendly ear and understanding, I hope you can begin to make sense of things here after everything you've been through.

if you are in the US try The Rape Abuse & Incest National Network 800-656-HOPE. they can hook you up with a support group in your area. The police should have offered you assistance finding group therapy. Date rape drugs are hazardous to your physical health as well as your mental health. Did you go to the hospital emergency room? Have you gone to Planned Parenthood and been tested for STDs? Please take care of yourself. My PTSD group T doesn't treat my complex bereavement, but the other members of my group do help me. Group therapy is an amazing dynamic. you will learn so much not just from the group T but from the other members of your group as well.

Hello Lilibuth12,

Welcome!
I am new to the group as well.
Don't give up! I know it can be so frustrating, not only trying to find someone to treat you, but finding the right person to treat you. It took me 3 years.
You'll find just the right person, and when you do, you'll know it! :)
