Title: New to this.
Post by: Newbie on January 13, 2018, 12:34:09 PM
Hi all, just been diagnosed with cptsd. I work as a nurse and had never heard of this so it’s all come as a bit of a shock. Trying to make some sense of it all.

Hi Newbie!  :heythere: Welcome to the forum! It can be a shock.

There's a lot of great information on this forum plus lots of first hand experience of living with CPTSD. Take time to look around and feel free to ask any questions, or start posting about yourself. Hope to see you around the boards.

Hi and a very warm welcome to OOTS Newbie  :heythere:   It can be quite overwhelming when you first learn you suffer from CPTSD.  I found I had to take things quite slowly and in small chunks at first because although it was a relief to finally know what was going on, it was also a huge shock emotionally speaking.  Baby steps can be helpful in processing this new reality
