Kizzie,
I want to tell you how much I appreciate OOTS and all you do (which I'm sure is much more than I can imagine) to keep it going. The wonderful people on OOTS are an important part of my support system.
I've noticed that when you respond to others, you often share ideas; "maybe this would work, or would it help to try?. . ." I love your creativity in finding help/solutions to problems. Even more, I applaud your courage in sharing your ideas with others.
Thank you, Kizzie!

Yes, I was just thinking the other day - how much would I know about this beast were it not for the creation of this website and forum?
I knew about cptsd from other sources, but found a supportive community here that understands and shares (at least some of) my life experiences.
Books, podcasts, videos, articles - this is a treasure trove of information and support. I'm thankful! 👍👍👍

As Three Roses said, I wouldn't know what to do if it wasn't for this forum. Everyone's experience and writing here as helped me understand that I am not alone, and see what the underlying problem is for my EFs and other symptoms. Especially because of the lack of information that, in my experience, most therapists have, this forum has been the reason why I am still sticking to getting healthier and healing my trauma.
So thank you Kizzie! :waveline:
You are so welcome
I started this because there wasn't much if anything out there for us in 2014 except Pete Walker's book - no web sites or groups I ever found save ones for specific types of abuse versus the root cause - ongoing relational trauma, and the result - Complex PTSD.
I knew there were probably a lot of us out there but wasn't sure if anyone would find OOTS and join. Six years later and there have been over 7,500 register and now many others sites/resources for RT survivors thankfully.
I'd say we're pretty much 'out of the closet' now ;D
I would like to say thank you as well. It's been such a relief to find this community. Thank you Kizzie, this place is so very needed! :bighug:
Tks Owl, glad it's helpful.
I can only agree with what the others have said, Kizzie. This is a great place and for me at the very least the first place where I feel like I can talk about my experiences without holding back or being ashamed.
Thank you so much :cheer:
Really good to hear that Panda, tks for taking the time to comment :)
Usually I hate joining in on these things, saying basically the same thing everyone else is saying... but, in all honesty, finding this site and these forums has been totally life changing for me. I cannot say thank you enough.
 and  Jazzy :)
I"m sorry I didn't find this thread sooner. Thank you for all your hard work in making this a safe place for us!
Tk you Allie, I appreciate you taking the time to post, very kind of you
This is such an important site. Well done Kizzie. You are an inspiration, and clearly give a lot of time and effort.
Slim x
Tks Slim
kizzie,
i echo what everyone else has said. i hope you know how much goodness and light you have brought into the world by providing a safe place for our wounded souls to take the steps needed to heal. thank you! love and hugs always
 Tks San
I too have found this site life-changing, the depth of knowledge provided from you Kizzie, as well as all your moderators and the folks that post is invaluable. Wish I could get involved more but I just can't yet. Just wanted to say I acknowledge the effort you have made putting it together and maintaining it on a steady course. Thank you.
Tks Sig, and no worries about not getting involved as recovery is first and foremost here and that's where our energy needs to go
This place is a life-saver for me! I really feel that this morning. In a day-to-day way so not because of some big crisis atm, but rather a place I can come to daily if I so need for inspiration and more importantly somewhere I can write freely and repetitively and noting small incremental change and where I'm understood and encouraged! :grouphug:
Thank you so much Kizzie :applause: :applause:  because without you we wouldn't have this safe space.
Sorry to hear you're in a crisis at the moment BB, sending lots of care and support your way
Thanks for the kind words about OOTS, I'm always glad to hear it's helping
Oh, I see I worded that badly! I'm not in a crisis. I realised yesterday that I was coming out of a multi-week low-level EF.
I'll gladly take the care and support though
It's all yours ;D
:) :) :)
