Title: Trigeminal Neuralgia
Post by: Phoebes on November 13, 2017, 03:15:49 PM
So, I have TMJ pretty bad, and a while back the specialist said he was worried I am close to lock jaw and said I likely have trigeminal neuralgia. After they did some PT on my jaw, things seemed to calm down and  get back to normal.

The other day I went to the dentist and had some xrays, had bitten my mouth, and they had to go deep behind my back tooth. All of these things together I believe aggravated me tmj and nerve complex, and now I have unbearable nerve pain. SPent the weekend trying awful pain relieving drugs and basically feeling drugged up with unbearable pain.

I don't know what will help. I'm thinking I need medical marijuana/CBD oil, or something that will calm the nerves, not cause a bunch of side effects.. Do any of you struggle with this?

I seem to have a mild case of TMJ from grinding my teeth together while I sleep for 21 years. But its not like yours what so ever. I just recently had my first TMJ experience and even having it mild was not fun by any stretch of the imagination. So while I can't offer any advice, I can understand to a certain degree how TMJ feels.
