Hello everyone. I just came across OOTS a few days ago and I am very glad that I did.
Posting on ang kind of forum is new to me...so I hope I'm doing it correctly.
Over the past ten years I have been on a slow road to understand and accept who I am. Diagnoses and traits that I have come to understand as describing me include:
Insecurely attached
EUPD /BPD
Codependant
Narccisistic
Dissociation
Over the past few months I have learned about cPTSD and I find this a very accurate and helpful way of thinking about my experiences and responses to them.
Engagement with my family of origin has become hugely retraumatising and for the past 2.5 years I have had extremely limited contact with them. This has been very difficult but is essential for me to stay healthy.
I am looking forward to providing any support that I can to others on the forum, and being part of a community that understands what it is actually like to live with cPTSD.
