I'm brand new here myself. There is a lot in your story I can relate to. Very inspired by how close relationships got better after the sexual abuse was acknowledged.  Also by your sense of humor which seems to have survived intact! 

Hello, fellow survivors.  Found my way to this site and it has already helped me a lot.  I'm fortunate in that I am not in an abusive situation now.  I am dealing with C-PTSD rooted in childhood experiences with my family of origin, and in a romantic relationship that I ended in July after 10 years.  Feeling a bit raw and wobbly, but also hopeful -- like I'm finally ready to go back and face what happened.  I hope to find some freedom in that and to help others find theirs.
