Messages - Deep Blue

Hey bookie,
I'm scared of overbearing people too.  I have learned to just consider it a warning sign that the person cannot be trusted.  I try to keep my distance from these people.  I'm not afraid of everyone, just the ones that I have a bad feeling about.  I don't now how to describe how I know... I just do.

I have intense emotional reactions too.  I am on medication which has seemed to make the intensity of the reactions less severe.  I have also learned that the sting is less severe with some triggers now.  I have been doing some work on my triggers and trying to calm them a bit in therapy.  My T is helping me do this by tackling one at a time.

Hopefully someone has some advice on your inner critic.  I'm not sure I can offer much in that area

My vertigo can can get unbearable at times.  My frustration is that the medicine just stops me from throwing up when I'm dizzy.  It doesn't help the dizziness.

Heavy sigh...  :sadno:

Sorry I know this topic hasn't been posted on in a really long time.  I have Ménière's disease and was diagnosed about 4 years ago.  Not a week goes by without me taking medication for it.  It can make me fear going out or driving.

Cadie,
It is true that misery loves company.  Kudos to you to extricate yourself from the situation. I echo what everyone else says.  Your health comes first.

Best wishes

Welcome

The multiple layers of abuse is one that many members can attest to.  Getting victimized over and over can put up a barrier between yourself and others.

Glad you are here

Hey DR,
This is such a thoughtful post. I think when things are going well we often forget to take a breath and enjoy it.

Good for you to take the time to notice what changed to make you feel better.  I feel that is a huge step in noting your own progress.

Sceal,
Do you have synesthesia? Or is it more an emotional level comparison to you?

I have had that happen when my mind feels calm but my body disagrees.  I find it very confusing.  The last time it happened I wondered if it was a type of EF.

Much love to you
