Sceal

1) I've slept through each night the past week, with only waking up once
2) Better communication with my sister
3) I've done the laundry

Blueberry

1) I went to the farm today as planned.
2) I enjoyed the bike ride there and back.
3) I sowed some more seeds and planted a flower in my garden when I got back home.

I hope the sleep keeps up, Sceal! :)

Wonderful to hear, Blueberry! It's good to be active like that, helps a lot I think.

#1. My sister has moved out of my room today which means I have a bedroom to myself finally! And as a bonus, because her bed is no longer in my room, I'm able to fit my piano in my room now! ;D
#2. Music is really nice. I've found a few songs that really resonate with me, just their melodies alone. :)
#3. I'll have some time tonight to just relax. I wonder what I'll do... draw? Puzzles? Play a game? Hmm...

Blueberry

Holy Moly, Aphotic Atramentous, I hadn't realised you were sharing a room with your sister up until now! I'm so happy for you that you have your own personal space now!

Blueberry

1) I went to the farm today as well and enjoyed my bike ride there and back
2) Some seeds I planted in a minute 'greenhouse' in my kitchen are up and growing. They're a bit old so I wasn't even sure if they'd germinate, so I'm happy that they are  ;D
3) I played a CD and moved around to it.

Thanks Blueberry. :) I'm quite happy about it too.

:cheer: Wonderful to hear!

#1. I finished the longest shift I've ever worked today.  And I didn't wimp out of it haha. I'm super tired but that's alright. I'll get plenty of rest, and I have a day off tomorrow which is nice.
#2. I'm very close to finishing my new piano composition. I just need to figure out how to get the piano connected to my computer and then I can record it!
#3. By some weird miracle I managed to strike up a conversation with someone who helped me set up my new computer. Our conversations have flowed really well and it's nice to be able to talk to someone new like this. I don't have any friends in my town, so if all goes well, maybe I'll finally have one. :)

1. Cleared some drooping branches along the driveway that were about to fall over the road.

2. Cleaned out some junk and hauled it to the area's trash collection centre.

3. Met with a singer/songwriter and planted seeds about collaborating on some music for fun and potential performances next summer at a nearby park. Creative sparks, especially in the performance arts, were once a  big part of how I coped with cptsd for many years; but I'm officially 'retired' and thus limited in where I can get involved again, so end up just hanging back even when I know I could contribute.

I'm an isolated "freeze" type of survivor and tend not to reach out even when I could. So this potential meaningful collaboration is a hopeful step as I seek to reach beyond my almost total social isolation (admittedly self-induced but powerful). There's more steps in the frying pan, as it were, but I'm feeling better about stretching that self-limiting side of me.

Blueberry

That sounds really good woodsgnome!  :cheer:

Blueberry

1) I finally got up.
2) I went to an afternoon group I sometimes go to, drank a whole lot of tea - first drink of the day, better late than never.
3) I sent an email to a 'friend' with some truth, and at least I think it means she won't be attempting to phone me again soon.

Movingon

I find this hard. I always go back to Jon Kabat-Zinn's saying "if you are breathing there is more right with you than wrong"

I try to do 3 things I am grateful for.

1. Healthy energetic kids
2. Having healthy food to eat.
3. Our safe home.

I hope everyone is having/has had a good day :D

Sceal

Good stuff Movington and Blueberry!

1) I went to group therapy yesterday and it went well
2) I went for a walk
3) I joined in on a Dungeons and Dragons group - which was a lot of fun

Blueberry

1) Yesterday evening I went to an entertainment of choir and sketches/political parody.  I hadn't felt very good most of yesterday - still a bit wobbly, not quite in the real world etc but I enjoyed the evening anyway and laughed myself silly at some of the sketches

2) which showed me that there is still a part of me enjoying being in and capable of functioning in the Real World (something I had been doubting since Monday morning)

3) Despite today being a public holiday, I overcame my inhibitions and dropped by on a friend, smelling the roses on the way (literally!), and had a good chat about all sorts of stuff and plants and animals.

Blueberry

1) I got out of bed and went to join a group of women I sometimes meet up with. I was late, but I went at all.

2) One woman there means well (I think) but tends to berate me on not turning up to this or that. I was pretty sure she would do so about me not turning up to something else on Wed. But I went today anyway. And when she brought up the subject i shut her up with one polite but factual sentence.

3) I came home determined to calculate something business-wise that i've been putting off for weeks. So I'm going to do that now.

Blueberry

Yay!  :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I did that business calculation I mentioned in 3) above.  :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
