Not quite sure what to say.. I'm very much still stuck in the weeds of coming to terms with what's happened to me. I'm working on cultivating more compassion for myself instead of getting stuck in self-blame. I find it helpful to redirect to things that make me laugh when I get overwhelmed.

 Hi, pinevalley, and welcome to OOTS.

Self-compassion and finding ways to laugh are important starting points; at least they were for me. You didn't mention if you already have one, but working with a skilled therapist can be helpful as well.

A lot of us are still "stuck in the weeds", as you say. Cruising the various topics here should help as well. While there's loads of info, many find it worthwhile to post at least some about their particular situation, whether it be newly realized or is part of a long-running recovery effort.

Bottom line--don't shy away from posting any concerns or opinions you wish to share. As long as the guidelines are adhered to, you'll find there's people here with lots of empathy and understanding, because they've been down this lonely road as well.

Welcome again.

Welcome pinevally :) Hopefully, the OOTS community can help you get out of the weeds. Coming to terms with what has happened can be nearly impossible without help. I'm really glad that you reached out!
