Broken.  Started therapy again a few weeks ago.  Reading CPTSD: from Surviving to Thriving by Pete Walker.  Desperate for change.  Isolated and hopeless.

The book is great. The forum is better. You'll get understanding and virtual hugs here as well as the advice and validation of Our Pete's book. Glad you found us!

Hi and a warm welcome to OOTS Invisible.  By taking a risk and seeing a T as well as coming here you are not quite so invisible and isolated any more   I hope you keep on posting, it can really help to break out of that lonely place we've all been in at one time or another.  And if you don't want to post, keep reading as you'll likely find things that others say resonate and then it becomes more apparent it is a disorder with symptoms that are treatable rather than something defective about you. I was telling someone last week that when I hit bottom I read and clung to every little bit of hope I could find in posts,  like a life preserver in the storm I suppose.

We know what you are going through and there are lots of us here on the other end of your keyboard (see below) to listen, support, encourage, and point you toward helpful info.
