Hi
I went into what seems like flashback last week after my trauma therapy finished. I seem to keep moving in and out of this state for example yesterday I felt much better than the day before and today has been bad again.. I've never experienced it like this before it's really difficult. Normally it ends and I move through it...
Any experience/ help appreciated

I have been doing a similar thing boats, so I would say yes, it is possible to go in and out.

Some moments i feel better and then the energy has been drained from me throughout the day and it's all awful dark thoughts.

I've been trying to self care as much as possible.  When the awful thoughts come I seem to think irrationally and forget what self care I typically do.  Reach out to us or a trusted friend.  A friend saved me the other night from making a bad decision simply by reminding me to go for a run.

Hang in there

ime it's also possible to go in and out. It used to be so bad for me in EFs that I couldn't remember any form of self-care. Sometimes I couldn't even find my lists of what to do in EFs, though some of these very basic lists are taped to my wall. It was as if idk my brain just couldn't process anything. Nor did it have access to the knowledge that these things pass.

Hang in there, Boats. This too will pass. I imagine that the end of therapy before you really feel ready for it may feel very triggering, like abandonment or something.

That's interesting Boats. It might be an idea to talk with your T about this and see what s/he has to say.  Although it feels unsettling It may actually be a sign of some progress.  I guess what I'm thinking is normally you may have stayed in a full blown EF for a few days but now you're able to interrupt it for a period? :Idunno:  Just a thought.
