Very interesting, Three Roses. It certainly sounds as if this could lead to much suffering for many people.
I think it demonstrates, as well, that what ever health system operates, there is little concern or interest in mental health. The NHS in the UK talks a lot about improving mental health care.
Now, however, many reports say that the NHS is having to prioritise accident and emergency, and cancer care. Routine appointments for diagnosis and treatment of physical ailments are being side-lined to maintain A and E and cancer care. In all the media reports I have come across, mental health services haven't even got a mention. Very sad, all round.
