That sounds like a very good idea, Boatsetsailrose. Just spending a short time with a succession of different people is a good approach, I think.

I used to be a nurse, then a carer. I will need to work, now I am divorcing, but I could never cope with care work again. I like cleaning, so early morning cleaning would suit me very well.

Im with you ..i couldn't do a days care work for all the money ...makes me feel illjust thinking about it  ...cleaning sounds good ...good sense of satisfaction in the practical.

Thanks for the validation for my cleaning idea. Heaps better than care work, which is too interpersonal and often intense. You're right, it's the practical nature and sense of achievement. I shall wait until I am settled somewhere and then look into some work.
