Working with my therapist this past week reminded me of a little poem I wrote years ago that encapsulates a central cause of the suffering that continues to trouble me on a daily basis more than 70 years later....

Hansel and Gretel ate the house.
Nibbled at it like a mouse.
I shut my mouth and hunger denied.
To save my mother, my soul, it died.

Thanks for sharing this bluepalm. I'm not good at deciphering poems though I somehow still feel the painful energy behind it all. I hope writing it has helped in some way.
