Tks Blues

He's doing well as far as recovery - has a bit of movement now in his left leg and arm.  He is supposed to move to a rehab centre but they had a staff member test positive for COVID so not sure when that will happen now.  Happy to wait when COVID is in the mix lol.

I am tired but OK in terms of CPTSD symptoms for the most part.  The only thing that does bother me is when a nurse or PA isn't  exactly the cream of the crop so to speak.  There have only been two I've been nervous about thankfully but it's such a reminder of being trapped, vulnerable and at the mercy of someone who has power over me (parents in my case).

I talked to the spouse of the fellow in the next bed and she feels the same so it's a normal fear, just maybe amplified for me because like so many here I was trapped as a vulnerable child and it's triggering to see my H in the same position.  Fortunately he can speak fairly clearly now and is not shy about speaking up so my mini EFs are subsiding.

It really reminds me though of what so many of us endured and why we developed CPTSD.

kizzie, from my heart, altho we are often reminded during day-to-day life of our past trauma, your husband having a stroke is one of the worst ways, to my mind.  i'm glad he's beginning to be able to move limbs and can speak up, say what he needs.  much love and prayers to both of you
