The Natural Vision summit isn't about trauma, but I thought I'd post a link to it here as a few people have mentioned vision problems. One of the speakers, Greg Marsh, has previously mentioned a connection between vision problems and trauma, and he's doing an EFT session on Day 4 (Friday).

The full program is here: https://naturalvision2020.com/program, and you can register here: https://naturalvision2020.com/register.

I am a little intrigued about the topic of trauma and vision, so I'm wondering if anybody watched the session by Greg Marsh and could share a few notes on it?

No pressure meant at all! I was busily involved in my own healing yesterday so didn't even get round to watching. So just a query whether any mbr took notes and has the energy to share.  :)

I haven't watched it yet, but plan to today. I will write my notes up here.

All the sessions for all the days are available over the weekend, link here: https://naturalvision2020.com/day-4

Greg Marsh - EFT tapping and emotional release to improve your vision

Greg spoke about the emotional causes of vision problems. When there's childhood stress, the eyes tense up. The eyes can be afraid to see what happens next.

Near-sight causes include fear of the future, fear of what's out there. It's scary out there, so it it's easier to stay in here where it's safe.
Far-sight causes include something that's happened up close that was really scary. Don't want to let things get too close.
Glaucoma causes can be holding on to some issue really tightly so the internal pressure builds up.

Greg uses EFT with lots of clients. If you clear the underlying problem, the vision clears. He suggested searching for Gary Craig's EFT instructions.

Greg spoke about white-coat syndrome with vision. How vision can be worse when it's being checked.

To see better, your eyes need to relax, but often they're trying hard to see. Greg went through an EFT session around this.

Even though the eye chart freaks me out...
Even though I can't stop trying to see the eye chart, and I have to stop trying to see it for it to work, and I don't know what to do...
Even though the eye chart is hard for me, being tested is hard for me and I panic...

He then went through the tapping points, tapping on the eye chart, the blur, the self-doubt. Then into feeling more relaxed, blinking more, breathing naturally.

[During this, I noticed my vision improving :cheer:]

Greg said he finds that EFT keeps people open to vision shifts. He's had most success with tapping on the negative, not the positive.

Those are all my notes from the session. While I remember, here's a link to an interview Greg did a few years ago where he talked about EFT and vision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U187Qk2-w-o

Wow, thanks for all your work (note-taking + writing up) Snowdrop!  :applause:

Thanks, Snowdrop ... very helpful pointers. I've had huge vision problems and I can trace most of it through an emotional pattern of just wanting to not see what was so horrible.

The 'other shoe' is realizing just how deep a hole some of the mind/body tie-ins team up to create such misery. It's the overwhelm angle we're all familiar with. One step at a time seems so slow and useless sometimes, but on the other hand it can be the only feasible option.

Anyway, thanks so much  for linking to this info.

I took a few notes too, but since they're more about EFT than vision, I've put them on an EFT thread, here: https://cptsd.org/forum/index.php?topic=6439.msg109267#msg109267
