Hello
I've been learning a lot about my brain and the ways it has been bent, why it possibly works the way it does and how the meds work. It's helped me to accept the differences and understand that it's not my fault.
I take Dosulepin Mylan 25mg/day...with near immediate effect. Within an hour of taking it. It doesn't make me sleepy - It wakes me up! While I have bradycardia, my BP is raised a smidgen and a slight tachycardic reaction which actually raises my HR to "normal" levels. I have a pacemaker that looks after the bradycardia should my BP fall below 50pbm and the bottom lead paces the Ventricle to pump 100% of the time because there's a complete heart block/3rd degree AV block.
While my GP prescribed me 1 capsule twice a day for two weeks, the increase to two capsules twice a day....The first day on the two capsules spread across the day had me bouncing off the walls at 3am...cos it doesn't make me sleepy

I've asked if I can just take one a day and I really need to get him to chat the Hospital GP Liaison and ask about the effect on me and how taking 50mg in the morning might suit me better. I have taken 75mg/day in the past...but I have recently recovered a repressed memory and it's possible that the physiology of my brain has improved with the reintegration of the memory.

I haven't seen a specialist yet....my GP didn't refer met to the specialist when I asked for it

and I have been unpacking this new cptsd episode on my own. It's been a "fun" ride.

My case has yet to be triaged.

Does anyone else use this stuff with a different than normal effect?
For me it works really well and almost immediately.
