Hi,

I'm 44, a mom.of three, Expat, and childhood trauma survivor. While I've always had issues , my drs told me it was depression and anxiety. It wasn't until we moved to another country that I'm having a complete breakdown. Currently on medical leave and on my 5th waiting list in 18months for a specialist.

Hoping I can find a place to share my feelings.

A warm welcome to the forum NLmama :heythere:

This is a kind supportive place for sharing feelings.

I'm sorry you're in the middle of breaking down, I've been there too.

Welcome to OOTS NLMama, so sorry to hear you've been on a waitlist for so long to get the help you need.

This is a community where you can share your experiences and members will be supportive and comforting. I hope you find it helpful  :grouphug:

Welcome to the forum, NLmama,

This really is a place where we can freely share our fears and struggles with others who feel them as we do. We don't have to "explain ourselves" here. We don't have to defend ourselves against people who think we should "just get over it" here like we do out in the cold cruel world. We all have different backstories, but somehow, we all ended up with similar side effects around fear, self-image, trust issues, feeling incurable, feeling like we're alone in a crowd...etc....

I've personally grown a lot because of the compassion and empathy on this forum. I hope your wait for a good therapist doesn't go on too much longer. Meanwhile, the people on this forum have proven to me to be extremely supportive and welcoming.

Welcome to this community of like-minded souls who know what it feels like to be in CPTSD.
