Better at navigating the highs and lows

I am noticing that I am navigating the highs and lows of my emotions better than in the past.

For so long I've been so drained I haven't been able to do anything after work and needed to spend most of my weekend recovering.

Those things are still true but I am getting better at resting.  And now I am doing an art class after work once a week.  Yesterday I went to a concert that completely threw off my routine and I handled it relatively well today.

I would still rather be on my own most of the time but I am also more able to interact in ways I normally would have avoided.

And a number of examples of the first piece of progress. Yay for you :cheer:

I´m so happy for you  :cheer:  :cheer:  :cheer: That´s a lot of progress and it´s also great that you´re able to recognize the changes that make you feel better and to give yourself the credit for making them happen.

Not the main intent of your post here, but just want to tell you that if I were still working even part-time, it would be the same for me. Full-time would be impossible, a mere weekend wouldn't give me enough time to recover. You're not alone   I am happy for you that you're learning ways to mitigate, that you're progressing :applause:

Blueberry, thank you for the cheers and the mention of how draining work is.  I'm at a point where I don't understand how I've managed to work full time.  I think because there are a lot of days off in my job but still.  I am trying to figure out what's next and feel like I am on the right track.

Dalloway, thank you for the cheers and support.  It is helpful to acknowledge progress and it is progress that I see progress.

I'm happy that you're seeing this progress too Rainy. :cheer:
