And I have a nice piece of cake next to my age in my profile. Thanks!

I'm four now, Out of the FOG-wise, so I hope I can leave the Terrible Two and the Tantrum Three behind  ;D .

Attached is a photo of me, dressed up for carnival/mardi gras at the physical age of four.

You're all invited for the party, there's room for at least eight, but I'm sure room can be made for more.
(you will be brought home before diner-time)

Happy Birthday

By Stevie Wonder

You know it doesn't make much sense
There ought to be a law against
Anyone who takes offense
At a day in your celebration
'Cause we all know in our minds
That there ought to be a time
That we can set aside
To show just how much we love you
And I'm sure you would agree
It couldn't fit more perfectly
Than to have a world party on the day you came to be
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
I just never understood
How a man who died for good
Could not have a day that would
Be set aside for his recognition
Because it should never be
Just because some cannot see
The dream as clear as he
That they should make it become an illusion
And we all know everything
That he stood for time will bring
For in peace our hearts will sing
Thanks to Martin Luther King
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Why has there never been a holiday
Where peace is celebrated
All throughout the world
The time is overdue
For people like me and you
Who know the way to truth
Is love and unity to all God's children
It should never be a great event
And the whole day should be spent
In full remembrance
Of those who lived and died for the oneness of all people
So let us all begin
We know that love can win
Let it out don't hold it in
Sing it loud as you can
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Ooh yeah
Happy birthday
We know the key to unify all people
Is in the dream that you had so long ago
That lives in all of the hearts of people
That believe in unity
We'll make the dream become a reality
I know we will
Because our hearts tell us so

Happy Birthday...

As that other Dutch Uncle, Desidirius Erasmus, once observed:

"It is the chiefest point of happiness that a man is willing to be what he is."   :yeahthat:

Thanks so much.

That's an excellent motto for me to focus on this coming year.  :applause:

Happy birthday, Dutch Uncle! :)

MaryAnn

Awesome song choice Southbound.  I haven't listened to Alan Parsons Project in ages.  Forgot how good he was.  I am going to have to get this CD and relive some memories.....

Dutch Uncle,  Hope you are having a great birthday.  From the responses by everyone on the forum,  you should be feeling really special right now and loved!

Your both the best!

Celebrating my Out of the FOG birthday has had a tremendously good effect.

So far I had regularly dreaded that day when my world was turned upside down, 4 years ago.
I've been in a struggle ever since to regain some firm footing.

To actually celebrate that I chose the path to get away from it all, with the all anguish that has come with it, but resolved in getting up every time I would fall (and I was certain at the start this new journey would entail a lot of falling down, and me having to get up again and again) has been liberating.
I don't think I'll ever again regret or doubt that I have stepped into this 'upside down' world, embracing it with effort.

It's a much better place to be in. It deserves a celebration.

Thanks all so much for showing up at my party! It's great to have seen so many happy faces around me.

Yay us, my dear friends!  :bighug: Thanks for being around.
