Nausea
« on: July 25, 2016, 11:38:36 PM »
Does anyone else suffer bouts of chronic nausea? I often find that when I can tell I need to have a good cry / have a lot of pent up emotion (especially old emotion, even if I am presently feeling happy + mentally well - as I am now), I will feel extremely nauseous for days at a time. I know it's not from physical causes when I am eating / drinking water / sleeping, and especially when I am having a lot of physical pain (especially in my hips, where I store most of my trauma). I try to practice self-care but any thoughts on overcoming nausea that just won't go away?

For me, it's headaches. When I get one, I know I am suppressing something that I need to look at, even if I don't want to. When it starts having a physical manifestation, it's time to uncover!

I have huge problems with nausea.  Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with it, other times it comes and goes during the day.  I have noticed, the more upset I am, the worse it is.  I brought it up with my psychiatrist and she told me that was out of her lane and I should discuss it with my general practitioner.  I am not going to because I know there isn't anything physical causing it.  I don't have any solutions for you.  All I can tell you is it is a severe problem for me and you are not alone.

Sometimes when I walk out into direct rays of sun, I will experience a moment of nausea, but it passes.

It's been happening more and more for me as I'm discovering CPTSD and all this FOO work. For me, it's not a build up, but a sudden sensation of Nausea that comes up, often with a powerful dissociation or Emotional Flashback.

My doc increased my meds. Now I'm nauseous for most of the day.

I have titrated down to a very low dose of the SSRI that had made me so very nauseous. As of yet, I'm having trouble getting back into the healthy eating habits I had established before this psych med messed me up.
