Hi! I'm new here. My social worker suggested I find a forum for ppl who have been through similar experiences.
Quick overview, I lived with abusive religious parents and couldn't get out. We tried everything (we are 12 kids) including ACS but my parents have money and made everything disappear.
I am married now and have 2 amazing kids of my own and am struggling, terrified I will end up like them. (My parents) anyway. This is me reaching out and trying my best to go along with my therapy.

I hope you find things you can relate to.  We run the spectrum of every kind of childhood abuse, including religious abuse.  i don't know if Christmas is a particularly difficult time for you as a survivor or religious abuse.

No parent can be perfect, but in my experience it is parent's who don't worry about the care they are giving their children who cause the biggest problems.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!! My abuse was more physical and spiritual is just a side note that I'm suffering from at the moment due to the Jewish holiday Hanukkah.
I hope to have time in the near future to have a good look around as I'm currently in a psychiatric hospital.
