I am going to do a second round of good things today because I need and deserve them today
1. I have all of my big furniture moving today finally! one thing off my list
2. Had a great cup of coffee
3. I have gotten complimented on my academic brain, which I love getting compliments on
4. I am winning the battle with my anxiety. It is a slow fought battle but I am not letting it crush me today

1. I found out I am officially getting hired on so I will have insurance in a few weeks (I can see my T weekly soon)

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: being officially hired is a good thing - more security -, having insurance too, and soon being able to see your T weekly. So happy for you!

1. I finally got up in time to prepare for my teaching and teach.
2. I enjoyed teaching. It gives me a reason to keep going.
3. Feeling the sun on my skin.
4. Playing board games this afternoon with other people.

I am so glad you got up. It sounds like a great day  :cheer:

Actually it wasn't really a great day, I'm struggling at the moment, but at least I did get up! Now matter how difficult things are, it helps me to write Three Good Things.

Elphanigh

I am so glad it helps. Sorry it sounds like you are in a similar state as me. I am really glad you wrote in here still

Wife#2

I'm having a yuck day, so I'm going to come in here and remind myself of three good things. I really need this today.

1) I am healthy enough to work. I have a job. I even like my job.
2) I have a son who loves me. No matter how I feel about myself, he really does love me. I got two hugs this morning.
3) Our puppies are healthy. House-training is about 25% successful, but that is progress.

OK. Breathing. It's not as bad as I'm tempted to make it out to be. Those weren't even hard to come up with.

Elphanigh

Wife#2, lots of warm hugs and gentle reminders that everything will be okay   I am right there with you today if you need anything at all.  Your goods are wonderful things.

Here are mine
1. Today is final moving day, I will finally not be split between apartments
2. I did a thing for myself today. I took the day off to finish the move so my anxiety doesn't peak and feel like it is crushing me again.
3.my cat is super adorable

1. I'm feeling better today - more energetic, it's easier to get a few things done
2. I finally washed my hair and had a shower.
3. I got some help with cleaning today, also did some cleaning myself, tidying up and threw a few things out.
4. Was in the garden for a couple of hours.
5. My little Furry Critters are super cute. The little boy was racing around in the garden - so cute.

Elphanigh

These are going to be hard today, but that is when I need them the most.

1. It is beautiful outside and I took 10 minutes to just sit in the sun at lunch
2. I ate a bag of chips (bigger accomplishment than it sounds like)
3. I am starting to decide for myself

Good on you, Elphanigh, for writing them in that case!  :cheer:  And once again, thanks for the thread.

My 3 Good Things:
1. I made plans to visit a friend in another town tomorrow since I haven't seen her in person for 2 years
2. I got a few things done like a bit of cleaning in an unexpected place, bought waterproof cycling pants (which will help me cycle more often), something I've been intending to do for about 2 years now.
3. I went into the garden, poked around, looked at what's growing.

Elphanigh

You're welcome. I am glad the thread has been helpful, it has certainly surprised me.
Here are mine today, a little easier but still a lot going on
1. Everything is in my new apartment!
2. I have wifi so I can be on here easier
3. I had a good conversation with the installation guy that made my day

Saw a new beautiful species of wildflower.
Spent time by the waterfront relaxing.
Exercised. :cheer:

A fairly 'new' friend (it's very hard for me to find friends) has emerged and so far has:

...found and assembled a walker (I have severe knee problems probably requiring surgery soon);

...brought me groceries when I was ill;

...been open, considerate, and understanding in sharing more than the 'hi, how are you/don't honestly answer' mindless chitchat.

Smiling and sending a hug.
Your friend has great taste in friends, Woodsgnome,
