It's a shame this part of the forum isn't as active as the other parts. Art is a really big part of my life, one of my ways to get away from reality.

\/ My favourite and most recent one atm.

I've replaced all the signatures on these with my anonymous username. If on the off chance you want more, you can PM me and I could link you my DeviantArt profile. ^-^
Hope you like these. I'm not a very experienced artist, never really took classes or anything. I just do it for fun and that's about it. :)
The character that frequents the drawings has a special meaning to me. I made him when I was dealing with both my abusive parents and my abusive partner and he's been a part of my art ever since. He even visits me in my dreams, so that's nice.

Truly exquisite, AphoticAtramentous. :fireworks:  I have no idea how anyone can produce something like that. I'm guessing you got it or you ain't.

Three Roses

So jelly! Wish I had a gift like that. I would love a link to your profile! :D

:yeahthat: AphoticAtramentous.  If you click on your name and go to forum profile, you can put the link in your signature.

I'm flattered for the suggestion but I want to use PMs only. The link is to a profile that has my more well-known username (that is open to a lot of people I don't want to share my extremely personal woes with). If I leave the link in the open forum then it's only a google search away for someone unwanted to find this anonymous account. ^^" Hope that makes sense.

I know all about hiding, AphoticAtramentous.  Some of us have talked about Coming Out, gay-pride style.  I'm all for it myself, albeit still  a bit :spooked:

Hehe, it's okay to hide though. :) Not everyone needs to know everything about you. I like it.
But it's mainly me just hiding things to ensure some enemy of mine doesn't come along, see what I write and use that against me sort of thing. I have... A lot of enemies. >.> Oops. It's all stuff my family shouldn't know about. I would have told my school counselor and teachers more about myself and my foul conditions at home because I'm sure they would have helped. But with my mother being a teacher at the same school, the risk was too high.

But that's all unrelated, I'll post more art dumps here whenever I have a good portion of made works. ^-^ Thanks for the interest.

That's the CPTSD survivor's worst nightmare, isn't it!

Thanks for sharing AphoticAtramentous. How long do they take to make? I'd appreciate seeing more/the link to your DeviantArt, but only if you're happy to share it. I'm in the same boat with sharing identifying things  :disappear:

I really like how you get certain emotions across in your illustrations!  :bigwink:

How long do they take... sketches are the quickest, 5 minutes tops. Lineart takes an hour, colouring takes an hour, shading really depends on what's in the scene but it usually takes 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, and if the piece has a detailed background it's immediately double the length. Haha. So, my first drawing on this thread took something like... 5 hours? The one that took the longest was the fourth one. :)

Thank you! I've always had a thing for expressions and emotions in artwork. It's what I love about the more cartoon styles... you can really exaggerate the features to express the characters' moods. :)

Contessa

This is amazing work AphoticAtramentous!!! Love it. Keep them coming :)

ah

These are absolutely beautiful!
And so poignant. For me they're really moving, oh that dragon sitting by you in silence... terrifying and sad and protective and thoughtful and gentle and helpless and speechless all at the same time.

Please post more :)

I can totally relate to the need to hide in case an abuser zooms in and attacks you. So so sorry you have to go through that, too.

Kizzie

Are any of your drawings (which are awesome by the way!) related to your CPTSD?   Just curious.

Thank you very much, ah!
The blonde darling in my drawings isn't actually me, though I'm flattered. :) I wish I was him, I'd have the most amazing softest fluffiest hair. <3  ;)
I'm glad they're moving though, it's very nice to hear. ^-^

Thank you, Kizzie! The scenes I draw I actually try to make them as least like my trauma and CPTSD as possible. :P Art is my get-away and a distraction from reality so, but I may try drawing things directly related to my CPTSD in the future... might be rather therapeutic. However the characters I make are related to my CPTSD in a way.
The blondie has PTSD after burning his house down.  I haven't done that thankfully, haha, but we share the feeling of guilt - a guilt over something that wasn't really our fault. I guess that's kinda related? There's also another character I've made who had a neglecting family in her childhood years. I have 16 characters all up so I better not get into talking about them.  :whistling:

I haven't been doing much digital work lately, haven't really found the motivation for it. But I have done some other stuff. :)

And for why not sakes, a few random panels from my webcomic: :)
